Sergio is the complete opposite of his older sister, Jessica. While his sister is rather anxious and controlling, Sergio rolls with the wind. While he is the older sibling, he has no desire to hold the responsibility of running RSD. He is contented merely doing what needs done around the place, finding himself to be the jack of all trades when it comes to work that needs a handyman. If he's not working with the livestock of the Cattle Co., his head can be found ducked under a tractor or car hood, pretending to know more about plumbing than he really does, or solving what other problems may arise.

While his averseness to having large responsibility at the Rancho may stem from a sense of inadequacy, he thinks it better that his sister Jessica sits next in line as the family matriarch. She's far more ambitious than he ever was anyway. When it comes to riding, he is a skilled charro. When they were younger and Jessica practiced Escaramuza, Sergio also participated in Mexican rodeo events. He is extremely talented with a lariat and while his preferred discipline is anything western, his precise skills also transfer in the dressage arena every now and then. He also frequently helps his sister when training the rancho's local breed, Hacienda Barbs.

In his spare time, he likes to draw and paint. At least once a week, he likes to meet with his cousin Emil who works in the mountains for game night.
