Character Notes

Celeste came through the time portal with Lew Paine by happenstance, after the man had unintentionally defended her on an outing with a superior officer (this is during the Civil War). Celeste never really had many friends and her mother was always working so she instantly latched onto the new “companion,” although Paine would beg to differ. Of course, he didn’t have time to lose the girl before being trapped with her indefinitely

Now, in this strange new place called the future, she clings to Paine’s side day and night. She barely remembers her father, and Paine is the only thing she has that is scarier than the monsters hiding under her bed. Whether he likes it or not, she’s sticking with him.

And darn it, he’s going to play tea party even if it kills him
